As many of you already know, Ben is now a STUDENT at UNM. It has been quite an adjustment for him, and from my view point it has been very comical to stand back and watch him as he flies down the stairs frantically looking for his homework, backpack, lunch, and "things" never having enough time or preparation the day before. He is always running late, infact that is the reason for my post. For the first two weeks he has driven everyday always coming home complaining of the parking and distance he has had to park to get to classes. He then, as of last night at about 10pm decided that he needed to plan to take the train the following morning, bike there, and be "on time" for an 8:05am departure. That was the funny thing because I knew that was easier said than done. Well as the nice wifee that I am I printed off his ticket anyways and just let him go ahead with preparing for the next morning and off to bed I went. Does anyone know that Ben sleeps like a log, a dead log...His alarm went off for about 20 minutes and then was sleepily shut off, and back to log land he went. I tried to awake him twice and then said, well he is a big boy, and will learn eventually. He awoke at about 7:25am and then that is when all the flying down stairs, stuffing backpacks, lacing up shoes, and doing many disfunctional attempts at multitasking. I asked him if he wanted a ride to the train since he was going to miss it if he rode there, but he stubbornly said,"No I won't miss it." And out the door he flew biking down the street at about 13 minutes until the 8:05 departure. Needless to say he called me telling how he was 30 seconds from the train when it blew past him blowing its horn. At that point I told him he would enjoy the morning airs ride back home.
Ben is LOVING school so far....can you tell! In actuality he really likes his German and Architecture class but dislikes his Psychology class and is struggling with math. Here is a pic of him "happily" enjoying his time studying, can you tell???
